God Expects Thanks

Note how many times God’s expectation is repeated In Colossians 3:15c-17:

 And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. 

Gratitude interrupts the spiritually immature attitudes of mad-itude, grab-itude, and so-what-atude!

So, consider interrupting your day with thanksgiving by intermittently expressing reasons for thanks and singing His praises through song! Quite simply, you’ll bring glory to your Father!

The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me. Psalm 50:23a
